At SOS Children's Villages, we work in the spirit of the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child and we promote these rights around the world.
Since November 20, 1989, the world is provided with an important legal instrument to make people respect child's rights - The Convention on the Rights of the Child. This international treaty is a specific law because of its universal character and also because it was ratified by most of the countries in the world.
As far as we are concerned at SOS Children’s Villages, this convention represents a strong asset in the work we carry out to improve the conditions of children. Not only do we implement the Convention on the Rights of the Child in our facilities, but we also propagate it so that everybody can be aware of the Children's rights.
